Friday, Sept 3 -- Whew!

Friday ... the big day ... Earl came and went with far less drama than we expected.  We went to bed at 12:30 a.m. with light rain and wind around 15knots.  We awoke to more light but steady rain and winds about 25knots.  Not close to what was predicted but we are not complaining!

Since there is a progression of storms marching our way out of Africa, we are considering a move up the bay where we'd have more protection (Hampton is at the mouth of the Chesapeake).  It's a tough decision since we've met a couple who have a beach house here, and they've invited us to beach this weekend, and they are having a Labor Day Shrimp Boil on Monday!  But, we haven't moved the boat in a month, and we are getting antsy to start exploring the bay ... destination: Annapolis!
