Never again do I hope to spend a July in Georgia. YEEEEEE GADS. The heat. The humidity. The water temperature under our boat was 89 degrees. No wonder our little A/C unit could not make a difference until around 3:00 a.m. Thank goodness we had Michelle and Craig’s home in Savannah to escape to when we couldn’t take it on the boat anymore.

The one advantage of being here during the "off season" is that we were able to get our cockpit enclosure redone. New canvas, new glass, new dimensions to raise the headroom. Very nice addition to our boat.
The dodger is now as clear as glass.
There are no words to describe how wonderful air in Minnesota felt after we arrived! In fact, I think I only wore a sun dress 3 times while we were there and bought two new pairs of jeans! We had a short-but-fun-filled two months with family and friends in Minnesota where we attended two beautiful weddings, went sailing on Lake Pepin, saw a Twins game, helped start constructions of a new bathroom, and made two trips to the E.R.! Never a dull moment!

Our niece, Marie, married Josiah Wood on August 9th in Red Wing, Minnesota.
All the Radey siblings came together at the St James Hotel for a long weekend of fun and frivolity.

As usual, there is father-son bonding time over our summer stay in MN. This year, it was a bathroom in the lower level. And since this is where "our" bedroom is, it will be a welcome addition.

On our drive back to GA, we spent several days in the Smoky Mountains.
Simply lovely. And it's one of the only National Parks that is FREE!
